I am a Cleveland native (Lakewood), a Browns fan and an Ohio State football fan. I come to WLKR-FM via Toledo where I was most recently Program Director for talk WTOD-AM. Coming to WLKR is a reunion of sorts as I once worked for sister station WKFM back in 1996-97 when the station was located at the Huron Boat Basin. My broadcast career spans 18 years and includes a Marconi Award, the industry’s highest, as well as multiple Achievement in Radio awards From the March of Dimes. My career began in Canton OH. Since then I’ve worked in Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo, Sandusky OH, Ashtabula OH, Raleigh-Durham NC, Greensboro NC, Greenville-Spartanburg, SC and Atlanta. My Cleveland experience includes WMMS, WMJI, WMVX, WNCX and WAKS. I am also a national voice actor and commercial producer. “Locally” I am the voice of WT05/Toledo’s CW. My wife Betsy and I live in Huron. She works for the Ohio Veteran’s Home in Sandusky. I am a member of the Huron Chamber of Commerce. Interesting fact #1: Played semi-pro football for the Cleveland Lions (1989-92). All NOFL honors at linebacker, 1990 and 1991. Interesting fact #2: Fly in an open air bi-plane over Cleveland for a radio promotion with Red Baron Pizza. Favorite WLKR artist: Bruce Springsteen Favorite WLKR song: “Say Hey” - Michael Franti and Spearhead
